The University of Dundee has risen in the 2023 Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide, being ranked top in the UK for one subject and securing top 10 places in another six disciplines.
Dundee rose three places to 32nd in the UK in the overall table and was ranked 1st for Subjects allied to medicine. The University was also highly placed for Dentistry (2nd), Bioengineering and biomedical engineering (2nd=), Medicine (3rd), Biological Sciences (4th), Anatomy and Physiology (6th), and Social Work (6th).
Professor Blair Grubb, Vice-Principal (Education) at the University, said, “Congratulations are due to all who have helped secure such positive results in their subject areas. This table demonstrates the strength of Dundee across multiple disciplines.
“We are also pleased to see the University’s overall position improve and are constantly working to build on our strengths in order to enhance all aspects of our output as a triple-intensive university.”
The new edition of The Times and The Sunday Times Good University Guide provides comprehensive rankings for UK universities as well as an overview of higher education in Britain. The academic league table is made up of eight indicators including student satisfaction with teaching quality and their wider student experience, research quality, graduate prospects, entrance qualifications held by new students, degree results achieved, student/staff ratios, and degree completion rates.
