Global people development company Insights Learning & Development invested significantly in its Dundee campus to provide innovative spaces and world class technology as employees returned to the office earlier this month.
Insights works with many of the world’s largest companies, including the Expedia Group, AstraZeneca and LinkedIn, to bring self-awareness to people, teams and leaders, through its well-known four-colour psychological model, Insights Discovery.
The Terra Nova office investment – together with Innovation House - highlights the company’s continued commitment to the city of Dundee, where it employs over 200 people. The redevelopment was designed to provide a vibrant working environment, driven by technology, where employees can come together to collaborate flexibly. Further investment has seen the renovation of Innovation House to create a state-of-the-art learning hub, with the flexibility and technology to support delivery of Insights’ world class face to face and virtual learning.
Fiona Logan, Chief Executive of Insights Learning & Development commented: “The COVID pandemic provided an opportunity to reflect on how people want to work, both now and in the future. We are delighted that our people can get together again as a community, in our newly redesigned offices, after a tough two years. Seeing our teams excited to reconnect and enjoy this brilliant new space has brought our vision and investment to life.
“Our employees told us that while they wanted to retain the opportunity to work from home, with all the flexibility that came with it, they also missed time spent in the workplace enjoying the journey as a community. We wanted to celebrate being physically back together again by providing a network of great spaces that our people want to spend time and collaborate in.”
The project was codesigned by leading Scottish design company SPACE Solutions, who took on board Insights’ vision, co-created the environment with the Insights team and even stitched Insights’ values into the very fabric of the building.
Stephen Griffiths, Studio Director at Space Solutions, said: “We are thrilled to have had the opportunity to work alongside one of Dundee’s pioneering businesses to create a new innovative workspace. Our Design and Build team worked closely with Insights to develop a workplace with collaboration and sustainability at its core.
“Insights is a global player in learning and development, and we’re proud to continue working alongside this visionary company and have the opportunity to be part of the city’s ongoing regeneration investment project.”
Insights Learning & Development has enjoyed a successful year with record breaking financial results, including March 2022 which was the company’s highest revenue month ever.
